As the regular season opens at home, San Francisco will mark its Week 2 matchup as a “Home Opener,” designed around the return of the Faithful to Levi’s Stadium for the first regular-season game of 2026. In October, the 49ers tie their in-stadium programming to a leaguewide health initiative and a Hall of Fame tradition. For Week 4 against the Denver Broncos on October 4 at 1:25 p.m., the team said it will support the NFL’s Crucial Catch program, which focuses on cancer prevention, early detection and risk reduction while recognizing cancer survivors and those currently battling the disease. The release also says the Pro Football Hall of Fame’s Ring of Excellence ceremony will be held at halftime for Roger Craig after his election to the Pro Football Hall of Fame Class of 2026.

Later in the season, the 49ers plan an additional franchise milestone during a nationally televised-style matchup. For Week 6 at Levi’s Stadium against the Washington Commanders on October 19 at 5:15 p.m., the team described an Alumni Weekend and a 49ers Hall of Fame ceremony. The release specifies that it will occur on “Monday Night Football,” and that at halftime former linebacker Keena Turner will become the 34th inductee into the Edward J. DeBartolo Sr. San Francisco 49ers Hall of Fame.
