Corrections Policy
Commitment to accuracy
The Apex Times is committed to factual, well-sourced reporting. When we get something wrong, we fix it openly and quickly. We do not silently edit published articles to correct material errors.
How we label changes
Once an article is published, substantive changes are categorized and disclosed:
- Correction — a factual error in the original article. The article is updated and a correction note describing what was wrong and what was changed is appended.
- Clarification — the original text was accurate but could be misread or was missing context. A clarification note explains the addition.
- Update — the underlying story has developed since publication. New material is added and timestamped as an update.
Typo fixes and minor copy edits that do not change meaning are made without a note.
How to submit a correction
Email corrections@theapextimes.com with:
- A link to the article in question.
- The specific passage or claim you believe is wrong.
- Source material that supports the correction (a primary document, official statement, or established outlet).
We aim to acknowledge correction requests within one business day and to publish substantiated corrections within three business days, sooner for material errors that affect public understanding.
Retractions
If an article is found to be substantially incorrect or unsupportable, we will retract it. Retracted articles are kept accessible at their original URL with a retraction notice in place of the original content, so the public record remains intact and the retraction is visible.
AI-assisted content
Briefs produced with AI assistance are subject to the same corrections policy as any other Apex Times content. An error in an AI-assisted brief is an Apex Times error and is corrected on the same terms. See our editorial standards for how AI is used in our workflow.
