AMD pledges up to £2 billion for UK AI compute, including supercomputers for fusion research
The chipmaker said it will back new AI infrastructure and partnerships with British universities and research bodies over the next five years, as the UK pursues wider access to advanced computing.
Advanced Micro Devices said it plans to invest up to £2 billion in the United Kingdom over the next five years to accelerate artificial intelligence innovation and research, while expanding access to the compute resources it said are needed for scientific discovery and public-sector innovation.
