Arkansas men’s basketball receives opponents for 2026 Baha Mar Hoops Summer League in Nassau

Arkansas men’s basketball will take its summer work abroad. The Razorbacks learned their opponents for the 2026 Baha Mar Hoops Summer League exhibition series at the Baha Mar Resort in Nassau, The Bahamas, with four games scheduled from July 31 through Aug. 4. The trip is designed less as a trophy hunt and more as a roster evaluation window for a program still assembling its rotation for the coming season.

The first opponent Arkansas faces is The Bahamas National Team on July 31. From July 31 to Aug. 4, the Razorbacks will also play Carleton University, Toros del Valle, and the University of Calgary, matching up against a spread of styles that includes international national-team players, Canadian varsity basketball, and a professional club from South America.

Arkansas’ slate begins Friday, July 31 against The Bahamas National Team (7 p.m. ET / 6 p.m. CT). The next day, the Razorbacks meet Carleton University (6 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. CT). Carleton, according to Arkansas’ release, is the defending Canadian national collegiate champion and is tied to the U Sports men’s basketball Final 8, after winning its domestic championship last season.

On Monday, Aug. 3, Arkansas plays Toros del Valle (6 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. CT). Toros del Valle is a professional team from Cali, Colombia, and Arkansas’ release identifies the club as the reigning champion of Colombia’s premier Liga WPlay de Baloncesto, with a recent Apertura title and a dominant run through its regular season schedule. The final game of the trip is Tuesday, Aug. 4, when Arkansas plays the University of Calgary (Noon ET / 11 a.m. CT).

The tournament framing matters here. Unlike most domestic exhibition dates that primarily feature familiar opponents from nearby conferences, the Baha Mar event groups programs and teams that typically do not share a recruiting footprint or conference structure. Arkansas will see different defensive sizes and ball-handling patterns, plus the kind of physicality and pace that often comes through with international-national team groups and professional clubs.

For Arkansas, the trip also arrives under head coach John Calipari’s third season in Fayetteville, and it is explicitly positioned as a chance to “get a glimpse” of the roster he has built this offseason. Summer tournaments like this tend to be where coaches stress defensive communication, transition reads, and end-of-game lineup decisions, especially when the full regular-season rotation is not yet settled.

Beyond Arkansas, the Baha Mar event features other notable Division I programs, with Cincinnati, South Carolina, Valparaiso, and Texas A&M also expected to participate based on Arkansas’ release. What to watch next is how Arkansas uses the four-game sequence, particularly whether its starters and key newcomers establish consistent roles early, or whether lineup experimentation becomes the central storyline as the exhibition series progresses.
