THE APEX TIMES
After a poor first half, Josh Allen’s offense flipped the script and Buffalo’s defense overwhelmed a Ravens quarterback room that quickly thinned out, with DJ Moore’s return adding a major spark.
Buffalo’s first-half struggles turned into a second-half surge, and the scoreboard reflected it: the Bills outscored Baltimore 20-3 after halftime in a 36-10 win that moved them to 6-1. Josh Allen completed 13 of 15 passes for 177 yards and two touchdowns in the second half, posting a 155.4 passer rating.
Baltimore’s quarterback situation became a week-by-week style problem for the Ravens to solve, and Buffalo treated it like a matchup advantage. Lamar Jackson left the opener of the game with a right thumb injury and did not return. Tyler Huntley then played three series before exiting with a toe injury, leaving emergency quarterback Joe Fagnano as the remaining active option.
Once Fagnano was in, Buffalo accelerated the pressure and never let Baltimore settle. The Bills blitzed 20 times, their highest total of the season, and blitzing helped limit the Ravens to 2.5 yards per play on those snaps. Buffalo also arrived with the pressure on key downs, including eight blitzes on third down as the Ravens converted just 3 of 13 opportunities.
DJ Moore’s return provided a clear offensive jolt. After missing the previous two games due to an SC joint injury, Moore finished with four catches for 82 yards and a touchdown, including a 49-yard reception that helped spark the Bills’ second-half rhythm. His fourth-quarter touchdown also marked the 259th passing touchdown of Allen’s career, moving him past Jim Kelly for the most in franchise history.
