The Brewers will have nominees in the NL Cy Young, NL MVP and NL Reliever of the Year races, with manager Pat Murphy also making the NL Manager of the Year finalists list.
The Baseball Writers’ Association of America named four Brewers as BBWAA Award finalists, setting up the possibility that Milwaukee returns home with more postseason-reward hardware next week. The selections include Jacob Misiorowski for NL Cy Young, Brice Turang for NL MVP, Trevor Megill for NL Reliever of the Year, and manager Pat Murphy for NL Manager of the Year.
Misiorowski’s finalist status comes after a regular season the team described as leading the majors in ERA (1.80), strikeouts (252), WHIP (0.80) and opponent batting average (.157) across 174 2/3 innings. The Brewers also pointed to Elias Sports Bureau context connecting Misiorowski’s season to historical single-category leaders.
Turang’s NL MVP finalist bid reflects a year of career-best production and daily impact. Milwaukee cited home runs (21), RBIs (100), on-base percentage (.366) and slugging percentage (.450), plus 19 stolen bases and Gold Glove defense at second base. The team also highlighted September performance, including an average of.361 and an on-base percentage of.475.
Megill was the Brewers’ other major-award finalist, earning NL Reliever of the Year consideration. Milwaukee said he posted a 2.63 ERA with 30 saves and a 0.89 WHIP as a qualifying reliever, while walking a career-low 6.2 percent of hitters.
Murphy’s finalist spot for NL Manager of the Year caps a season the Brewers described as franchise-defining, including division-title results and Major League-leading win totals in 2025. The team’s release also noted that Murphy previously won the award in 2024, making this year’s nomination a chance to join an extremely small group of repeat winners.
BBWAA winners will be announced on MLB Network in nightly order next week: Rookie of the Year (Nov. 9), Manager of the Year (Nov. 10), Cy Young and Reliever of the Year (Nov. 11), and MVP (Nov. 12), with the Brewers having nominees across four of those categories.
