Brewers unveil Truss Club, a new premium gathering space set for 2027

A 20,000-square-foot club and a wider six-row seat section behind home plate will debut at American Family Field at the start of the 2027 season.

MILWAUKEE. The Milwaukee Brewers have put a final answer to the construction you might have noticed outside the right-field corner at American Family Field. The team is building a premium, all-inclusive club for the start of the 2027 season called the Truss Club, designed for season-seat holders in the 375 most desirable seats in the ballpark. The project will wrap around a major change inside the first six rows behind home plate, including one new row that will be added on what is currently the warning track.

What makes the Truss Club stand out is that it is tied directly to the front-row sightlines fans associate with the home-plate area, while also carving out a hospitality space that looks and feels different from traditional “under-the-seats” clubs. Brewers chief operating officer Marti Wronski framed the effort as part of a broader push to keep the ballpark “first in class,” not only in maintenance but in fan experiences. In this case, the club will be housed in a 20,000-square-foot building already under construction on the southwest side of the stadium, opening to the field-level concourse when finished.

The seating plan is also unusually specific. Inside the park, the Brewers will install padded 23- or 24-inch seats from dugout to dugout in the first six rows, with the Truss Club access bundled to match those seats. The club itself is described as a dual-purpose environment: a central gathering space built around a long bar and two levels of dining that feed onto outdoor decks, one covered and one uncovered. Brewers officials said the food program will be scratch-made and tied to a dedicated chef, with specialties expected to change from game to game, while still including ballpark staples nightly.

Access and logistics are a big part of the pitch. Truss Club tickets are priced starting at $245 per game and are described as inclusive of a ticket, parking, and food and beverage, both inside the club and at the seat. The Brewers also said there are no membership or initiation fees, but the tickets will be limited to half-season and full-season ticket packages. On game days, the club will open 30 minutes before other stadium gates, and the venue is planned with valet parking, a dedicated parking lot, private security screening, private lockers for bag storage, private restrooms, and a meeting room available for rent.

The team’s explanation for why it can happen without significantly altering gameplay is rooted in measurement. Brewers officials acknowledged that the stadium has previously made field-dimension-adjacent changes, such as the right-field fence move in 2006 to build a group party area on what used to be part of the right-field warning track. For the Truss Club seating adjustment, they said the Brewers and the league reviewed how many popups might fall into a new first row behind netting for foul balls, and they described the resulting impact as small because foul ground would shrink by only about 3 to 4 feet from dugout to dugout.

Finally, the Truss Club is also a reshuffling exercise for existing premium inventory. Brewers officials said the vast majority of the seats currently in the five rows that will be replaced are controlled by season-seat holders, and those fans will meet with the team this week to decide whether to become Truss Club members or be moved elsewhere in the ballpark. After those internal conversations, the offer will expand to additional season-seat holders, corporate partners, and others. For fans who are not part of that premium tier, the Brewers also pointed to an open-to-everyone plaza experience as a parallel upgrade, including a UW Credit Union Plaza that is set to open by the end of June, along with a larger permanent food-and-beverage complex planned for 2027.

Why It Matters

  • Premium clubs increasingly shape how ballparks compete for corporate partners and top-tier season-seat buyers, and the Brewers are now adding a major home-plate hospitality product they said the franchise previously lacked.
  • For the on-field product, the Brewers say the seating shift will be studied with the league, targeting only a small change to foul-ground distances, which should reduce the risk of meaningful interference with play.
  • The project also tightens the connection between “best seats” and “best amenities,” bundling earlier entry, dedicated service, and outdoor space into one experience centered around home plate.
  • The Truss Club will likely influence future demand for Brewers season plans, since existing premium customers will be reoffered and the club’s availability will determine how much top inventory shifts within the ballpark.
