Denver announced signings of offensive lineman Reid Holskey and cornerback Blake Cotton, with corresponding waivers of offensive guard Nash Jones and rookie cornerback Ahmari Harvey.
The Denver Broncos announced four roster moves on Thursday, completing a pair of signings and two corresponding waivers. The transactions affect both sides of the line, adding depth in the trenches and the secondary while clearing roster space for the new players.
According to the team’s announcement as reported by Yahoo Sports, the Broncos signed offensive lineman Reid Holskey. The move is designed to provide additional competition along the offensive line during the offseason stretch when teams build depth for future training camp and the regular season roster.
In the secondary, Denver also announced the signing of cornerback Blake Cotton. Cornerback depth matters in today’s NFL because of the frequency of three- and four-receiver sets, plus the need for reliable backup options against motion and zone matchups.
The corresponding side of the moves included waiving offensive guard Nash Jones. In roster terms, “corresponding moves” typically means the team made room to bring in the new players by clearing spots elsewhere, without having those decisions operate independently.
Denver also waived rookie cornerback Ahmari Harvey in the matching transaction. Rookie roster decisions like this often reflect how teams set out their offseason evaluation priorities, especially when multiple players compete for limited bench roles and special-teams opportunities.
None of the moves, as described in the report, were presented as releases for disciplinary reasons or as game-related injuries. The announcement language focuses on the roster mechanics rather than specific performance details, so the impact should be viewed through the lens of team-building and depth chart planning.
The immediate practical question for Denver is how Holskey and Cotton fit into the Broncos’ internal evaluation process alongside returning players. Offseason additions like these can report the team’s priorities, whether it is stabilizing depth at guard and tackle spots or improving coverage rotation options at corner.
For fans tracking the Broncos’ offseason, the most important thing to watch next is how these players perform in subsequent team activities. Even without a guarantee of final roster placement, early offseason reps can meaningfully shape the training-camp competition picture and the order in which position groups finalize their top depth.
