THE APEX TIMES
Tampa Bay kept Atlanta off the board at Raymond James Stadium, keyed by a run-heavy attack and a defense that turned four turnovers into field-goal points and a touchdown.
In Week 8 of the 2026 NFL season, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers blanked the Atlanta Falcons 16-0 at Raymond James Stadium, controlling the game with rushing production and a defensive takeaway spree.
The Buccaneers limited Atlanta’s offense throughout, with Michael Penix Jr. intercepted four times. Linebacker Alex Anzalone accounted for two of those picks in the first quarter, and cornerback Jacob Parrish and safety Zyon McCollum each had one.
Tampa Bay scored 16 points on the strength of its ground game and timely field goals. Chase McLaughlin made a 46-yard field goal after the Buccaneers were unable to convert a first-quarter end-zone opportunity, and another McLaughlin kick made it 6-0.
After a series of defensive stops that included a fourth-down interception by Parrish, Tampa Bay pushed the lead to 9-0 with a 42-yard field goal late in the second quarter. The Buccaneers then opened the scoring for the third quarter, with Bucky Irving finishing a 90-yard drive on a four-yard rushing touchdown.
With the Falcons still trailing, Tampa Bay stretched the game’s final margin in the fourth quarter by rushing for the franchise’s single-game rushing record (324 yards) and adding a Kenny Gainwell six-yard run. That record run capped the Buccaneers’ shutout.
