Disney releases teaser for “Don’t Look Back in Anger,” Oasis reunion documentary following Liam and Noel Gallagher’s 2025 comeback tour

The film, presented by Disney+, is slated for release in September in cinemas and IMAX and centers on Liam and Noel Gallagher’s first onstage performances together in 16 years and their first joint interviews in decades, according to Disney and film-industry reporting.

A year after Oasis reunited to launch a world tour that returned Liam and Noel Gallagher to the same stage for the first time in 16 years, Disney has released a teaser for “Don’t Look Back in Anger,” a documentary that follows the brothers during their 2025 reunion run. The teaser debuted on Saturday, as Disney marked the project’s rollout ahead of a September release in cinemas and IMAX.

Industry reporting says the documentary follows the brothers through the lead-up to their highly anticipated return, including rehearsal, backstage and onstage footage from the Oasis Live ’25 tour. It also highlights what Disney characterizes as unprecedented access, positioning the film as a behind-the-scenes account of how the reunion was organized and carried out across multiple continents.

Deadline reported that the documentary premieres in September and that Disney will distribute it in cinemas and IMAX, with additional presentation through Disney+. The reporting also said the film is written, directed and produced by BAFTA and Oscar nominee Steven Knight, with Dylan Southern and Will Lovelace serving as co-directors; Southern and Lovelace previously directed music-documentary projects including “Shut Up and Play the Hits” and “Meet Me in the Bathroom.”

The documentary is produced by Magna Studios and associated with Sony Music Vision, according to Deadline’s account. Billboard’s report added further tour context for the footage featured in the trailer, saying the stadium trek began in Cardiff, Wales, on July 4, 2025, and concluded in São Paulo, Brazil, on Nov. 23, 2025.

Billboard also described the scope of the reunion performances shown in the teaser, saying the brothers’ return included 41 shows across the U.K., Europe, North America and South America. In the teaser itself, the reporting said Noel is heard discussing his skepticism about joining Liam onstage, as the trailer cuts between dialogue and rehearsal preparation.

The project’s framing also focuses on what it presents as rare moments between the brothers. Deadline reported that the documentary includes Noel and Liam’s first joint interviews in 20 years and follows the pair’s reunion performances, which it characterizes as their first together in 16 years.

The teaser additionally uses Oasis music in its preview, according to Billboard, which said the trailer is soundtracked by the band’s 1995 song “Morning Glory.” The release timing in September is presented as the documentary’s major theatrical window, with Disney+ listed as the platform presenting the project.

With the teaser now released, studios and distributors are expected to roll out additional marketing details tied to the September cinema and IMAX schedules and the Disney+ release date, as audiences get their first look at how the reunion tour will be presented in a feature-length format.

Why It Matters

  • The September cinema and IMAX release date positions the documentary for mainstream, in-theater audiences rather than limiting distribution to streaming at launch.
  • The documentary’s focus on the Gallagher brothers’ rare joint interviews and reunion performances underscores how major legacy music acts are translating large-scale tours into film events.
  • The collaboration across Disney and film-industry talent including Steven Knight reflects continued investment in music documentaries with established audience reach and theatrical distribution.
  • The documented timeline of the Live ’25 tour gives fans and media a structured arc for how the reunion was staged from the first shows in Cardiff to the final performances in São Paulo.
