DNC narrows 2028 Democratic convention host-city finalists to Boston, Denver and Philadelphia

The Democratic National Committee has narrowed its list of finalists for the 2028 Democratic National Convention host city to Boston, Denver and Philadelphia, CBS News Politics reported on Aug. 20, 2026.

The DNC’s selection process is now focused on the remaining three cities, which will be further considered as the committee works toward a final decision on where to stage the party’s quadrennial presidential nominating event.
