The Double-A Amarillo outfielder, one of baseball’s top prospects, was among nine players recognized by Rawlings and Minor League Baseball for elite defense.
Druw Jones, an outfielder for Double-A Amarillo, won the 2026 Minor League Gold Glove, Rawlings and Minor League Baseball announced Sunday. The award spotlights the best defensive performers across Minor League Baseball’s classifications.
Jones was part of a nine-player class that also included three Top 100 prospects, led by Boston’s No. 2 overall prospect, shortstop Franklin Arias. Arias headlined the group after playing 117 games between Double-A Portland and Triple-A Worcester and committing just five total errors.
The other Top 100 prospects recognized were Cubs first baseman Josiah Hartshorn (MLB No. 35) and Rays catcher Caden Bodine (MLB No. 46). Hartshorn, who played at first base and also saw time in center field, totaled five errors at first base in 2026 and hit 23 home runs with a.925 OPS across his first full professional season. Bodine posted a.988 fielding percentage behind the plate and threw out 19% of potential basestealers.
In addition to Arias, Hartshorn, and Bodine, the complete 2026 Gold Glove list included Triple-A Toledo second baseman Max Anderson, High-A Spokane third baseman Ethan Hedges, Reds outfielder Carlos Jorge, Triple-A Omaha outfielder Carson Roccaforte, and Double-A Somerset right-hander Cade Smith.
