Philadelphia moved cornerback Jakorian Bennett off injured reserve and cut wide receiver Quentin Skinner from the practice squad, a pair of roster moves tied to each player’s recent injury and NFL start-and-stop.
The Philadelphia Eagles waived cornerback Jakorian Bennett from the Injured Reserve list on Tuesday, the team announced. Bennett’s move off IR opens a roster spot after he had not been activated for any of the Eagles’ past three games.
Bennett was acquired by Philadelphia ahead of the 2025 season via a trade with the Las Vegas Raiders, and his first year with the Eagles included time in the middle of an injury stretch. In 2025, he dealt with a pectoral injury and totaled seven tackles across 11 games.
The Eagles originally placed Bennett on Injured Reserve on August 30 after a knee injury during training camp. The team opened a 21-day practice window ahead of Week 6, but did not activate him for any of the past three games.
Philadelphia also released wide receiver Quentin Skinner from its practice squad after he joined the team last week. Skinner began his NFL career in 2025 with the New York Jets as an undrafted free agent.
After spending most of his rookie season on the Jets’ practice squad, Skinner was later signed to the active roster, including appearances in late-season action. He finished his college career at Kansas with 1,584 receiving yards and 11 touchdowns on 80 receptions across four seasons (including a redshirt year).
