A slate of NFL analysts tipped New England to win at Miami in the Patriots’ Week 8 matchup, with most picks projecting mid-20s to low-30s points for the visitors.
The central question for Week 8, whether the Patriots can emerge victorious at the Dolphins, has a clear answer in the latest expert voting: every prediction cited favors New England to beat Miami.
ESPN’s Mike Reiss picked the Patriots 33-16 and pointed to an A.J. Brown matchup as the main offensive swing factor to watch for the Dolphins.
’s Jeremy Bergman forecast a 30-20 Patriots win, while Brooke Cersosimo and Gennaro Filice both projected New England scoring in the mid-20s (26-20 and 26-16, respectively).
Other picks continued the same directional theme, including Bobby Kownack (Patriots 23, Dolphins 17) and Dan Parr (Patriots 22, Dolphins 16).
CBS Sports also leaned Patriots, with Pete Prisco calling for a 28-14 New England win and noting the Dolphins are coming off their first win of the season and have been competitive in losses.
Even with those caveats, analysts generally framed the matchup as favorable to New England’s approach, including expectations that the Patriots’ defense will constrain Miami’s offense and that Drake Maye will perform well for New England.
