Futures Game rosters announced for July 12 at Citizens Bank Park, led by nine of MLB Pipeline’s Top 100 prospects

The Minor Leagues’ annual showcase is set. The Futures Game, now in its 27th season and presented by Nike, will be played on July 12 at noon ET at Philadelphia’s Citizens Bank Park, as part of MLB’s All-Star Week. MLB’s published Futures Game rosters include 50 players, drawn from across organizations, with a strong emphasis on proven upper-level prospect talent.

MLB Pipeline’s Top 100 Prospects list provides the backbone of the talent pool. According to MLB’s announcement, the initial American and National League rosters include 38 members of that Top 100 group, highlighting how the event functions as a near-term measuring stick for front offices and scouting departments. MLB also notes that each side of the game is stocked with premier young players, including nine of the “best prospects in the game,” a category MLB Pipeline identifies as part of its prospect rankings.

Those nine standouts span both infield and mound roles across multiple organizations. The Brewers are represented by shortstop Jesús Made. The Athletics will send shortstop Leo De Vries. The Nationals’ representative is shortstop Eli Willits. The Dodgers’ contributor is outfielder Josue De Paula. On the pitching side, the Mariners are represented by left-hander Kade Anderson, the Pirates by right-hander Seth Hernandez, and the Mariners again by righty Ryan Sloan. The Red Sox add shortstop Franklin Arias, while the Rays will be represented by outfielder Theo Gillen.

Another marker of the event’s recruiting value is its haul of recent draft talent. MLB reports that 11 first-round picks from the 2025 draft class will participate in the Futures Game. That matters because first-round selections typically carry the organization’s strongest conviction about ceiling, and the Futures Game becomes one of the first widely watched settings where that belief is tested against peers at similar stages of development.

Among those 2025 first-round participants, MLB’s preview highlights a cluster from the top of the draft.
