Buffalo’s hometown rock legends are set to perform during the nationally televised matchup at Highmark Stadium, with the show staged for the Bills Legends Deck and enhanced by in-stadium light-up interactivity.
The Buffalo Bills announced that the Goo Goo Dolls will headline the Thanksgiving halftime show when the Bills host the Kansas City Chiefs at Highmark Stadium. The game is slated for a national broadcast on NBC.
The Bills said the performance will be staged on the Bills Legends Deck, turning the halftime show into a stadium-wide concert experience that can be seen throughout Highmark Stadium.
As part of the presentation, the Bills will distribute PixMob light-up bracelets at seats, aiming to create synchronized lighting effects across the venue during the performance.
The team tied the booking to the band’s Buffalo roots, noting that Goo Goo Dolls were formed in Buffalo, New York, in 1986 by John Rzeznik and Robby Takac.
In the announcement, the Bills also highlighted career milestones for the group, including record-setting radio performance for “Most Top 10 Singles,” and described the ongoing reach of its Diamond-certified hit “Iris,” including stream milestones cited in the release.
