The Cleveland Guardians have moved on from outfielder George Valera after he cleared waivers and was set to be outrighted to Triple-A Columbus. The change follows Cleveland’s earlier decision to designate Valera for assignment, a roster move that gives a player the opportunity to remain with the organization if he is claimed, or to be returned to the minor leagues if he clears waivers.
