Honeywell Reaffirms Full-Year 2026 View, Maps a New Baseline for Honeywell Technologies Ahead of Aerospace Spin-Off

The industrial technology company maintained 2026 guidance as it prepares to separate its Aerospace business on June 29, 2026, and issued a preliminary outlook for the post-spin remainder it will rename Honeywell Technologies.

Honeywell on Monday reaffirmed its full-year 2026 outlook as it moves toward the planned June 29, 2026 spin-off of Honeywell Aerospace. The company also introduced a preliminary 2026 guidance framework for what it will call Honeywell Technologies after the separation, excluding the aerospace segment’s expected full-year results.

On an overall Honeywell basis, management continues to expect 2026 sales of $38.8 billion to $39.8 billion, alongside organic sales growth in a 3% to 6% range. Honeywell projected adjusted earnings per share of $10.35 to $10.65, up 6% to 9%, and set its outlook for segment margin at 22.7% to 23.1%. Cash flow forecasts remained intact, with operating cash flow expected at $4.7 billion to $5.0 billion and free cash flow forecast at $5.3 billion to $5.6 billion.

For the post-spin entity, Honeywell Technologies, the company expects 2026 sales of $19.9 billion to $20.2 billion and organic sales growth of 2% to 3%. Honeywell Technologies’ segment margin is guided at 19.8% to 20.3%, with adjusted earnings per share expected at $3.95 to $4.15, up 22% to 28%. Honeywell Technologies also projected free cash flow of approximately $2.0 billion for the full year.

Honeywell’s outlook for the remaining company incorporates several moving parts around the separation. The company said the framework includes the impact of planned divestitures of Productivity Solutions and Services (PSS) and Warehouse and Workflow Solutions, with agreements to sell reached in the second quarter and expected closing by the fourth quarter. The outlook also includes estimated results from the Johnson Matthey Catalyst Technologies acquisition, which Honeywell announced in May 2025 and expects to close in the third quarter. In other words, investors are being asked to view “Honeywell Technologies” not as a simple carve-out of aerospace, but as a reshaped portfolio reflecting multiple transactions.

The timing remains a central element of Honeywell’s messaging. Honeywell said the spin-off of the Aerospace Technologies business is expected to be completed on June 29, 2026, and that its 2026 framework for Honeywell Technologies excludes full-year aerospace results. The company will discuss the updated outlook during a live investor conference call starting at 8:30 a.m. Eastern Daylight Time on June 8, ahead of its broader 2026 investor day on June 11.

Still, the company did not provide granular disclosure in the announcement about how each divestiture and acquisition individually contributes to the post-spin guidance ranges. Honeywell also did not issue a standalone outlook for the aerospace business in this particular update, stating only that the Honeywell Technologies framework excludes the aerospace segment’s expected results for the full year. As with most forward-looking guidance, the company’s projections are also subject to economic, geopolitical, and execution risks referenced in its materials.

Looking ahead, the next key events are what Honeywell Technology’s management team emphasizes during the June 8 call and what it later elaborates at the June 11 investor day. Market participants will likely focus on whether the company provides additional detail on the assumptions behind organic growth and margin expansion for the post-spin portfolio, as well as the pace and completion of the PSS and Warehouse and Workflow Solutions sales alongside the Johnson Matthey Catalyst Technologies transaction close. For investors, the June 29 completion date will also determine when separate trading and reporting begin for the new corporate structure.

Why It Matters

  • Honeywell’s update reduces uncertainty right before a major corporate reshaping, reaffirming 2026 numbers for the current company while setting a new baseline for what shareholders will hold after the split.
  • Issuing a preliminary outlook for Honeywell Technologies indicates how management expects the margin, earnings power, and cash flow profile to change once aerospace is separated.
  • Because the Honeywell Technologies guidance also factors in multiple divestitures and an acquisition, it frames the post-spin company as a broader portfolio reset rather than only an aerospace carve-out.
  • The June 8 call and June 11 investor day will likely be used to connect guidance assumptions to the company’s separation plan and transaction execution, which remain key variables for investors.
