Intel kicks off 2026 Gamer Days with an AAA gaming bundle, giveaways and XeSS 3 launch-day enablement

The Intel Gamer Days campaign starts Aug. 10 and runs through mid-September retail offers, pairing purchases of select Intel Core, Core Ultra and Arc systems with download access for two upcoming games. Intel is also positioning itself as a launch partner for those titles with XeSS 3 technologies.

Intel has opened its 2026 Gamer Days promotion, rolling out a time-bound retail bundle, a collectors’ edition giveaway, and new partnerships aimed at getting two upcoming PC games running on Intel-powered systems. The campaign begins Aug. 10 and is designed to spur demand for Intel hardware as players look ahead to new AAA releases.

Headlining the promotion is an Intel retail bundle running Aug. 10 through Sept. 13. With a qualifying purchase from participating retail and OEM partners, gamers can secure digital copies of Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis and STAR WARS: Galactic Racer for download. The offer is tied to purchases of Intel Core, Intel Core Ultra, or Intel Arc graphics from participating partners.

Intel said gamers will receive access to download links on each title’s respective launch date, but they must redeem the bundle offer by Oct. 31, 2026 to obtain those links. In parallel, the company is running an Intel Gaming Access Collector’s Edition giveaway for both Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis and STAR WARS: Galactic Racer from Aug. 10 through Sept. 10.

The campaign also highlights Intel’s role in launch-day optimization. Intel said it will serve as the official launch partner for Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis, scheduled for Feb. 12, 2027, and STAR WARS: Galactic Racer, scheduled for Oct. 6, 2026. Intel framed the work as more than marketing, saying it is working with Fuse Games and Crystal Dynamics to tune performance and deliver enhancements on Intel-powered PCs.

For both titles, Intel said its enablement includes the full suite of XeSS 3 technologies: XeSS Super Resolution (SR), XeSS Multi-frame Generation (MFG), and Xe Low Latency (LL). In plain terms, XeSS Super Resolution is an AI-enhanced upscaling approach intended to improve apparent image quality while managing performance. XeSS Multi-frame Generation aims to generate additional frames to keep gameplay smooth, and Xe Low Latency is designed to reduce perceived delay for more responsive play.

Intel provided quotes from the game-development and publishing side and connected its involvement to specific performance goals. A Fuse Games representative said the intent was to delight players by ensuring the game runs well on PC, and that Intel helped fine-tune performance and deliver XeSS 3 enhancements for the Oct. 6 release. Crystal Dynamics’ team, in a separate quote, said it is excited for players to discover the upcoming Tomb Raider title and called Intel an “incredible partner” during development to support an optimized and immersive experience.

Beyond the launch partnership, the promotion includes details intended to narrow eligibility and manage expectations. Intel said Arc graphics are available only on select Intel Core Ultra processor-powered systems and that select configurations and OEM enablement are required, directing consumers to check with OEMs or retailers for system configurations. The company also included typical performance and security caveats, noting that performance varies by configuration and other factors, and that no product or component can be absolutely secure.

The company’s release also references Intel’s broader software ecosystem by pointing readers to an Intel Software Advantage Program site, as well as a campaign terms page and a “learn more” campaign page. However, the specific qualifying Intel product SKUs, the complete list of participating retail and OEM partners, and the exact redemption mechanics are not reproduced in the text provided, leaving some details for consumers to confirm on the campaign pages and terms.

From a business perspective, Intel’s approach ties consumer gaming interest to the hardware purchasing cycle by giving buyers a reason to choose certain Intel platforms within a fixed promotional window. It also uses launch-day technical support as a differentiator, attempting to link Intel’s silicon capabilities to smoother, higher-fidelity gameplay through XeSS 3.

What to watch next is whether the campaign drive translates into measurable traction for Intel’s client graphics and CPU segments during the fall buying season, and whether the two scheduled releases deliver the expected performance results when they ship with XeSS 3 enabled. For gamers, the key timeline items are the retail bundle window through Sept. 13, the redemption deadline of Oct. 31, 2026 for download access, and the staggered game launch dates in October 2026 and February 2027.

Why It Matters

  • By tying downloads and giveaways to specific Intel hardware purchases, Intel is using gaming as a demand-generation tool for PC components.
  • Positioning XeSS 3 as launch-day enablement indicates an attempt to make Intel’s AI-assisted graphics stack a mainstream feature for upcoming AAA releases.
  • The promotion also highlights Intel’s partnership role with game studios, aiming to influence player experience on Intel-powered systems rather than relying on generic marketing.
