Jaguars add LB Jamal Hill to practice squad, reinforcing linebacker depth
Jacksonville signed linebacker Jamal Hill to its practice squad after he spent time with the Houston Texans and built a productive college career at Oregon.
The Jacksonville Jaguars signed linebacker Jamal Hill to the team’s practice squad, the franchise announced on Oct. 22, 2026.
Hill, 25, was originally drafted by the Houston Texans in the sixth round (188th overall) of the 2024 NFL Draft. Over his NFL career, he has appeared in 25 games for Houston from 2024-26.
According to the Jaguars, Hill recorded 14 tackles and a forced fumble on special teams during his time with the Texans.
Before turning pro, Hill played at Oregon from 2019-23, appearing in 60 games with 29 starts. The team noted his Oregon production included 145 tackles (five for loss), 15 passes defensed, four forced fumbles, 2.0 sacks, and two interceptions.
The Jaguars also highlighted Hill’s honors at Oregon, including All-Pac 12 honorable mention in 2020.
Why It Matters
