Green Bay quarterback Jordan Love put up a season-best three-touchdown passing day and is among the finalists for FedEx Air and Ground Player of the Week voting following Week 8.
Packers quarterback Jordan Love has been nominated for the FedEx Air Player of the Week after Green Bay’s 27-19 win over the Panthers in Week 8.
Love completed 30 of 41 passes for 288 yards, throwing three touchdowns and one interception. The Packers’ team release notes that both his 30 completions and his three touchdown passes were season highs, and his completion total was the third-most of his career.
The 288-yard, three-score output also fed into Love’s larger season profile. Green Bay’s release says his 2,246 passing yards are the most by a Packers quarterback through the first eight games since Aaron Rodgers (2,253 in 2020). It also states Love’s 16 touchdown passes are the most by a Packers quarterback through eight games since Rodgers had 17 in 2021.
FedEx Air Player of the Week voting includes other nominated players: Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow, Lions running back Jahmyr Gibbs, Buccaneers running back Bucky Irving, and Jaguars running back Bhayshul Tuten.
