Police in Lexington have launched a Golden Alert for a missing man and asked the public to watch for information that could help locate him.
Lexington police have issued a Golden Alert for a missing man, according to a report from WKYT published Monday, Nov. 1, 2026.
The alert indicates that investigators are seeking help from the public as they work to locate the individual. Golden Alerts are typically used by law enforcement to rapidly disseminate information when a person is missing and authorities need timely tips from the community.
WKYT reported that the request comes from the Lexington Police Department and is aimed at widening the search beyond officers on the ground, using the broader information-sharing capabilities associated with the Golden Alert process.
As the search continues, residents are expected to monitor official updates related to the alert and to respond if they have information that could assist investigators in locating the missing man.
In missing-person cases, police generally rely on details such as the last known location, clothing, identifying features, and any potential sightings. Without those specifics confirmed in the report, investigators have not publicly detailed such information in this account.
Anyone with information connected to the alert is expected to provide it to authorities so officers can verify tips and adjust search efforts as needed.
