Lockheed Martin said it has completed the first integrated live-fire launch test of its newest containerized launcher, Kodiak. In the company’s account, the test demonstrated the ability to load and launch an offensive Reduced-Range Practice Rocket (RRPR) from a containerized system.
The company said the demonstration test used a RRPR to show “the ability to employ offensive fires” from a containerized launcher. Reduced-Range Practice Rockets are training-focused projectiles designed to represent real-world ballistic behavior in a form suitable for practice engagements.
