Miami moved a claimed infielder off its 40-man roster and brought five left- and right-handed pitchers back from the 60-day injured list, tightening bullpen and rotation depth planning for the coming spring.
The Miami Marlins used the 60-day injured list deadline to make multiple roster adjustments Monday afternoon, including a new claim and several reinstatements that changed their 40-man picture.
Miami reinstated five pitchers from the 60-day IL: right-handers Ronny Henriquez, William Kempner and Adam Mazuras, along with left-handers Robby Snelling and Andrew Nardi. The moves align with the requirement to add eligible players back to the 40-man roster.
Henriquez is expected to be full-go for spring training after undergoing elbow surgery in December 2025. Mazur’s and Snelling’s return timelines were also outlined, with both linked to prior elbow surgeries (March 2026 for Mazur, June 2026 for Snelling) and staged readiness later in the spring and early summer.
The Marlins also treated their bullpen depth as part of the calculation, reinstate Kempner and Nardi as relievers. However, the team’s timeline for those two is longer, with the release indicating they could miss the majority of the 2027 season following elbow surgeries in August.
In the same roster window, Miami claimed right-hander Cameron Weston from the New York Mets. The 26-year-old has made one MLB appearance, debuting May 28, 2026 with Baltimore, and the release describes his pitching repertoire from that outing.
Miami also lost infielder Graham Pauley after he was claimed by the Chicago White Sox. The Marlins had acquired Pauley in the Tanner Scott-Bryan Hoeing trade, and the release notes he spent much of the season shuttling between the majors and minors due to roster and option constraints.
According to the team’s reporting, Pauley went 62 games with a.211 batting average and four home runs, and he had no remaining minor league options at the time of the claim, a factor that narrowed Miami’s roster flexibility.
