The Miami Dolphins Foundation will provide a $50,000 grant to expand a school-partner food security program serving about 1,200 students in Miami-Dade.
The Miami Dolphins Foundation has selected His Hands and Feet, Inc. as the 2026 recipient of the Jason Jenkins Legacy Grant, awarding the Miami-Dade-based nonprofit a $50,000 grant to expand its Haven of Hope Pantry Initiative.
The Foundation said the expanded program will partner directly with local schools to improve access to food for students and their families throughout the school year.
His Hands and Feet, Inc., founded and led by Ydania Peralta, supports school pantries and community outreach by stocking items such as shelf-stable foods, snacks, breakfast and lunch options, family meal bags, and other essentials, along with year-round emergency family aid. The initiative currently serves about 1,200 students across five partner schools each year.
The Dolphins said the grant is provided by the Miami Dolphins Foundation with support from Gallagher, and it was recognized during the Dolphins’ Nov. 1 home game against the New England Patriots at Hard Rock Stadium, where representatives participated in a commemorative on-field check presentation.
The team also framed the grant announcement as the culmination of the fourth annual Football UNITES™ Jason Jenkins Days of Service, a month-long October initiative honoring Jenkins’ legacy. Dolphins players, alumni, cheerleaders, and staff joined community organizations and corporate partners for service projects, totaling more than 650 volunteers impacting nearly 65,000 people across the local area and in countries affected by natural disasters.
