A new book released in connection with Britain’s royal family has reignited public interest in Prince William’s ancestry, with author Stephanie Green arguing that the future king’s lineage runs through American patriots who fought against British rule during the American Revolution. Green’s account, presented in the book “American Crown,” links Prince William, through his mother Princess Diana, to colonial-era figures in New England, including Revolutionary War patriot Nathan Hale.
