One person killed in two-vehicle crash in Laurel County; road closed temporarily

A person died after a crash in Laurel County on July 2, according to Laurel County Coroner Doug Bowling. The Laurel County Sheriff’s Office said the collision involved two vehicles and that deputies were investigating the crash as crews responded to the scene.

The crash prompted a temporary road closure on Industrial Boulevard, located off West Hal Rogers Parkway, the sheriff’s office said. The closure affected access to the industrial park area, where drivers were advised to seek alternate routes if they needed to travel into the area.

Officials said the crash occurred about five miles west of London. While authorities were still working the scene, traffic management measures remained in place to support the investigation and keep the public away from the incident location.

Bowling’s office did not release additional details about the identity of the person who died in the initial report.
