Bragg, Baltimore’s No. 22 prospect, scattered five hits and walked one while throwing four scoreless innings in Week 4 of the Arizona Fall League. Colby Shelton was named AFL Hitter of the Week after a RBI-heavy stretch for Glendale.
The Arizona Fall League has named Orioles right-hander Braxton Bragg its Pitcher of the Week for Week 4. Bragg worked four scoreless innings for Peoria on Saturday, giving up five hits and a single walk while striking out three, the only pitcher on the circuit to post a semi-lengthy outing without allowing a run.
Bragg’s command stood out in his inning work. He threw 41 of 56 pitches for strikes, a 73.2 percent strike rate. Through 13 innings this Fall League season, he has been charged with a 1-0 record, posting a 2.77 ERA with nine strikeouts, a 1.00 WHIP, and opponents hitting.229 against him.
The award also arrives as Bragg continues his return path after surgery. The release notes he missed the 2026 Minor League season recovering from Tommy John surgery, and his last affiliated appearance before this AFL action came in June 2025.
In the league’s parallel weekly hitting honor, White Sox prospect Colby Shelton was named AFL Hitter of the Week for Week 4. Shelton led the league with 12 RBIs and hit.462 (6-for-13) during the week, and the release says he became the first player since at least 2005 to drive in four runs in three straight Fall League games.
Shelton’s week included two home runs, four extra-base hits, a 1.077 slugging percentage, and a 1.640 OPS. He also finished the week with a grand slam, identified in the release as his second of his professional career.
