Packers activate WR Savion Williams off IR, set gameday elevations for Oct. 17
Green Bay announced multiple roster moves, including the activation of Savion Williams and practice-squad elevations for that week’s game.
The Green Bay Packers activated wide receiver Savion Williams off injured reserve/designated for return Saturday, a move that brings him back to the team’s active availability for gameday, the team announced.
Green Bay also placed defensive tackle Jonathan Ford, defensive tackle Javon Hargrave, and wide receiver Skyy Moore on injured reserve, consolidating its injured list while Williams returns from the IR window.
For game-week personnel, the Packers elevated edge rusher Arron Mosby and wide receiver Coleman Owen from the practice squad to the active roster for gameday.
General Manager Brian Gutekunst announced the transactions as part of the club’s weekly roster management.
Why It Matters
- Williams’ return changes Green Bay’s weekly options at wide receiver while the team simultaneously adjusts its injured reserve group.
- Putting Hargrave and Moore on IR reduces depth on the defensive front and at receiver, increasing the importance of the practice-squad elevations.
- The activations and elevations report which roles the Packers intend to cover immediately for the upcoming game rather than later in the season.
