Green Bay will run its annual veterans and military recognition month-long initiative, featuring in-store donations at Fleet Farm locations and a featured Salute to Service game against the Vikings on Nov. 15.
The Green Bay Packers and Fleet Farm will kick off their annual Salute to Service month in November, honoring veterans and current members of the military through a mix of fundraising, discounts, and in-stadium recognition.
The campaign officially begins Nov. 3, with Packers defensive lineman Lukas Van Ness serving as this year’s spokesperson during a launch event at Lambeau Field. The program is tied to Veterans Day programming and runs throughout November.
Fans can support the effort at all Wisconsin Fleet Farm locations from Nov. 1 through Nov. 15 by rounding up purchases to benefit the Wisconsin Veterans Network, a nonprofit described by the Packers as working to connect veterans in need with benefits and programs they earned through their service.
The Packers will match donations up to $10,000 generated through the round-up program, directing additional support to Wisconsin Veterans Network programs focused on assistance and peer connections for veterans and service members.
As part of the on-field component, the Packers’ Salute to Service game is set for Nov. 15 against the Minnesota Vikings, presented by Fleet Farm. Players will use special equipment featuring an NFL Salute to Service camo-ribbon decal, and the stadium will include related visual features including goal post wraps and decals, along with in-game recognition for veterans and those serving.
Beyond the retail and game-day elements, the Packers list Veterans Day and month-long promotions including free Packers Hall of Fame admission on Nov. 11 for veterans with military ID, a 25 percent discount on food and non-alcoholic beverages at 1919 Kitchen & Tap throughout November for veterans and service members, and discounts through the Packers Pro Shop and Fleet Farm during specified dates.
