Packers vs. Cowboys: Brandon Cisse joins 4 others as questionable; Packers rule out four for Week 6
Green Bay lists five players as questionable for Sunday night against Dallas, with cornerback Brandon Cisse among them, while four others are ruled out. The Cowboys, meanwhile, have their own questionable group headlined by Joey Porter Jr.
With Sunday night against the Dallas Cowboys approaching, the Green Bay Packers released their Week 6 injury report showing five players listed as questionable, and four players ruled out. Cornerback Brandon Cisse is among the questionable players after being added with a hip injury.
The Packers’ other questionable players are guards Aaron Banks (knee/toe) and Jacob Monk (quadricep), defensive tackle Anthony Campbell (ankle), and receiver Savion Williams (ankle). Williams is on injured reserve with a designation to return, and the Packers said he has been practicing in a limited capacity during his 21-day practice window that opened Oct. 7.
Green Bay ruled out receiver Skyy Moore (ankle), cornerback Benjamin St-Juste (hamstring), and defensive tackles Jonathan Ford (calf) and Javon Hargrave (Achilles). In addition, defensive tackle Jordon Riley is doubtful after returning to practice this week, his first football activity since starting the season on physically unable to perform.
Packers coach Matt LaFleur confirmed that Pro Bowl cornerback Keisean Nixon will play after sitting out practice Wednesday. Green Bay did not issue a game status for edge Lukas Van Ness (shoulder), safety Evan Williams (illness), or defensive lineman Devonte Wyatt (ankle).
On the Dallas side, the Cowboys ruled out cornerback Cobie Durant (hamstring) and tackle Drew Shelton (hamstring). Dallas listed linebacker DeMarvion Overshown (hamstring), defensive tackle L.T. Overton (foot), and cornerbacks Joey Porter Jr. (ankle) and Ameer Speed (knee) as questionable, while also not issuing a game status for several available players including CeeDee Lamb (thigh) and Tyler Smith (thumb).
Why It Matters
- A questionable designation for Cisse adds uncertainty to Green Bay’s cornerback rotation for a matchup with Dallas wideout talent.
- Multiple Packers offensive and defensive linemen are listed questionable or limited, which could affect how the team handles protection and matchups.
- With both teams carrying their own lists of questionable players, the final inactives could shift coverage assignments and defensive line workload.
- Nixon’s expected availability provides a steady point in Green Bay’s secondary as several other defensive backs are still on the injury list.
