Panthers fill final practice-squad spot with former Syracuse tackle Da’Metrius Weatherspoon

The Carolina Panthers signed offensive tackle Da’Metrius Weatherspoon to their practice squad Wednesday, the team announced, using their final available practice-squad spot to add more depth to the offensive line.

Weatherspoon comes to Carolina after first entering the NFL as an undrafted rookie with the Buffalo Bills out of Syracuse. He also spent time on the New England Patriots practice squad.

At 6-foot-7 and 320 pounds, Weatherspoon’s background includes college stops at Syracuse and Howard before his pro opportunities with multiple AFC organizations.
