Denver’s All-Pro cornerback returned to full practice work for a third straight session, while four teammates were left questionable and two were ruled out in the team’s official injury report.
The Broncos entered Week 8 against the Chiefs with cornerback Pat Surtain II positioned to return. Denver’s injury report did not assign Surtain II a game status for Sunday, and the team reported he was a full participant for the third consecutive practice while working through an ankle injury.
Denver said the absence of a game status indicates Surtain II is available to play. Surtain injured his ankle against the 49ers in Week 4.
Alongside Surtain’s expected availability, four other Broncos were listed as questionable. Defensive lineman Zach Allen (hamstring), tackle Garett Bolles (hip), safety Brandon Jones (hamstring), and wide receiver Jaylen Waddle (chest) were limited in Friday’s practice.
Denver also listed two players as ruled out. Running back RJ Harvey (knee), added to the injury report Thursday, did not practice on Friday after being limited on Thursday, and safety Talanoa Hufanga (ankle) was also ruled out.
Meanwhile, the Broncos reported several other key players were full participants on Friday and received no game status: wide receiver Marvin Mims Jr. (ankle), inside linebacker Karene Reid (elbow), and defensive tackle Malcolm Roach (neck).
