THE APEX TIMES
The inside linebacker was credited with key plays across multiple phases as Pittsburgh posted a 27-6 win over the Browns at Acrisure Stadium.
The Steelers selected inside linebacker Patrick Queen as their Player of the Week, pointing to his all-around effect on the team’s defensive performance in a 27-6 win over the Cleveland Browns.
Pittsburgh’s defensive success, as described by the team, included advantages in run defense (and stopping the run), a sacks production edge (sacks recorded vs. sacks allowed), and keeping Cleveland out of the end zone in two separate Browns goal-to-go situations.
Queen’s stat line in the win included a team-leading 12 tackles, one tackle for loss, 1.5 sacks, and a pass defensed.
The Steelers also credited Queen with forcing a fumble, which Keeanu Benton recovered to set up the first touchdown drive.
The team’s Player of the Week package also listed other notable performers from the same game, including Jaylen Warren’s 143 rushing yards on 17 carries and Cam Heyward’s 2 tackles for loss, along with T.J. Watt’s two sacks and Darnell Washington’s 94 receiving yards.
Offensively, the Steelers’ announcement credited the offensive line group of Troy Fautanu, Mason McCormick, Zach Frazier, Brock Hoffman, Max Iheanachor, and Spencer Anderson with paving the way for 200 rushing yards at a 6.1 average.
