Prime Video begins production on Hindi drama series “Job Trafficking” starring Nimrat Kaur, Roshan Mathew and Pavan Malhotra

Prime Video has started production on an eight-episode Hindi-language drama series titled “Job Trafficking,” Deadline reported on Aug. 3, 2026. The streamer says the show will dramatize the ecosystem behind industrialized online scams, a subject that intersects with recruitment fraud and other forms of online exploitation that have become increasingly common in digital marketplaces.

According to Deadline, the series will star Nimrat Kaur, Roshan Mathew and Pavan Malhotra in lead roles. The project also includes Kavya Trehan as part of the principal cast. Deadline described the series as a “hard-hitting” drama centered on “the world of industrialized online scams,” with the title suggesting a focus on recruitment processes that can be abused to move money, identities and people through scam networks.

Deadline reported that cameras are already rolling, indicating that the production is in an active shooting phase as of the publication date. The series will be produced by Select Media Holdings, which Deadline identified as the source of the production for the Prime Video release.

“Job Trafficking” is positioned as a Hindi-language scripted drama for Prime Video, with the platform serving as the commissioning home for the series. With eight episodes planned, the project will follow the streamer’s typical multi-part release format rather than a one-off feature approach.

The cast selections reflect a mix of established Indian film actors who have also built visibility through earlier screen work. Deadline cited Kaur for roles associated with The Lunchbox and Dasvi, Mathew for Choked and Kappela, and Malhotra for Tabbar and Fouja, framing the series as a new lead platform for their continued work across film and streaming.

The production announcement arrives amid broader industry interest in scripted titles that take on real-world fraud and exploitation themes.
