The 2027 college football recruiting board has thinned quickly, and Texas is aiming to capitalize. According to a new recruiting update, only four five-star prospects remain uncommitted in the 2027 class, and two of those remaining blue-chips are targets for the Longhorns. The focus of Texas recruiting in that group is wide receiver Monshun Sales and interior offensive lineman Ismael Camara, two positions the Longhorns staff views as central to building both immediate depth and a longer title runway.

The update frames Sales as a major priority because of how sharply his recruitment has narrowed. His list, as reported, is down to five schools: Texas, LSU, Ohio State, Indiana and Alabama.
