Toyota urges drivers to treat routine maintenance as a performance and longevity issue, including for EVs

Finally, Toyota linked maintenance to resale value and offered a checklist-style set of routine care tasks. The automaker said that when it is time to part with a current vehicle, drivers typically want the strongest possible resale price and that maintenance can help a vehicle hold up even in some cases where it has fewer miles than another comparable car. Toyota referenced its Certified Used program as one path for dealerships that sell inspected vehicles, describing that Toyota Certified Used Vehicles require a multi-point inspection and a CARFAX history review.
