UFC and Utah Sports Commission bring fight-week community visits to Primary Children’s Hospital and the Boys & Girls Clubs
As UFC 332 Fight Week moved through Salt Lake City, UFC athletes Youssef Zalal, Brandon Royval, Tracy Cortez and Uros Medic spent time with local youth and pediatric patients through partnerships with the Utah Sports Commission and community organizations.
UFC and the Utah Sports Commission staged two community activations during UFC 332 Fight Week in Salt Lake City, pairing UFC athletes with local non-profit organizations ahead of UFC 332 on Saturday, October 3, at Delta Center.
On Wednesday, September 30, Youssef Zalal and Brandon Royval visited Primary Children’s Hospital for an afternoon with pediatric patients. UFC described the visit as a chance for patients and families to enter the playroom for games, slime activities, photos, and toy giveaways connected to brand partners.
The same weekend also included a broader hospital-facing component. UFC reported that Zalal and Royval visited Ryan Seacrest Studios to take part in a hospital-wide Q&A with patients who were unable to leave their rooms.
On Thursday, October 1, Tracy Cortez and Uros Medic spent time with young people at the Spence Eccles Club of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Salt Lake. UFC said the athletes joined an after-school program that included games and arts-and-crafts activities, plus karaoke, with local partners supporting the event with refreshments.
