THE APEX TIMES
The NCAA’s weekly ledger shows Miami, Utah, and UCLA as the only unbeaten teams left heading into their toughest remaining tests.
The central question is simple: which FBS teams are still undefeated after Week 8 of the 2026 season? According to the NCAA’s tracking update through games played on Nov. 1, there are three unbeaten teams remaining.
No. 1 Miami (FL) is 8-0. The NCAA notes the Hurricanes have survived close games recently against North Carolina and Florida State, and now face their biggest challenge yet with a top-five matchup against Notre Dame in South Bend.
No. 6 Utah is also 8-0 and sits atop the Big 12. The NCAA points to Utah’s resume including a ranked win over then-No. 18 Houston, and highlights the next ranked test for the Utes as the Holy War against BYU.
No. 7 UCLA remains unbeaten at 7-0. The NCAA frames the Bruins as the most surprising undefeated team left, given preseason expectations that they would finish 12th in the Big Ten Preseason Poll. UCLA still has a season-defining finale, a matchup against crosstown rival Southern California.
