Verve Signs Filmmaker Anna Mastro for Representation as She Leads Multiple Feature Adaptations

Deadline reports that Mastro is helming the feature adaptation of the action-adventure game Gravity Rush for PlayStation Productions and Scott Free. The project is described as an adaptation tied to the PlayStation title, placing Mastro’s directing work at the center of a screen translation from game content to a feature film format.

In addition to the Gravity Rush adaptation, Mastro is also attached to direct Katfished, a romantic comedy for Rebelle Media, Deadline said. The report frames the development work as part of Mastro’s growing focus on feature directing, pairing genre-adjacent storytelling with a scripted comedy tone.

Deadline also cited Mastro’s earlier directing credits. Those include Disney+’s Secret Society of Second Born Royals, an original series that Mastro directed, and her prior work on an indie feature, which Deadline noted as part of her feature background.
