Week 7 Injury Report: Seahawks’ Charbonnet back on full practice; Bradford and several key starters still working

Seattle’s preparations for a Week 7 matchup with Kansas City include a first full practice for Zach Charbonnet, while right guard Anthony Bradford and multiple starters remain limited or sidelined based on Wednesday’s report.

The Seahawks entered Week 7 with a clearer path to getting Zach Charbonnet back after he returned to the practice window from the physically unable to perform list. Seattle reported him as a full participant for the first time since returning to practice earlier in the month.

Right guard Anthony Bradford was also trending toward availability. Seattle listed him as limited in his first practice since going on injured reserve earlier this season, and coach Mike Macdonald indicated Bradford will play this weekend if things go well in practice this week.

On Wednesday, Seattle had three players listed as non-participants: linebacker Drake Thomas (ankle), linebacker Chazz Surratt (calf), and outside linebacker Connor O’Toole (hamstring). The team characterized O’Toole’s hamstring issue as new, while Thomas has missed one game and Surratt has missed three due to their respective injuries.

Seattle’s limited group included linebacker Tyrice Knight (oblique), receiver/returner Rashid Shaheed (hip), guard Beau Stephens (knee), and quarterback Drew Lock (right elbow). The Seahawks also noted receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba was off the injury report after being listed the previous week with an ankle injury, while still able to play Thursday night and record 12 receptions for 134 yards.

For Kansas City, right tackle Jaylon Moore did not practice due to a concussion, and left tackle Josh Simmon was listed as a non-participant due to a personal matter. Receiver Rashee Rice was sidelined as well, listed on the report with a knee/hamstring issue.

Why It Matters

  • Charbonnet’s full practice gives Seattle its best clear indicator yet that it can stabilize the backfield depth ahead of a matchup with Kansas City.
  • Bradford’s status is a central question for Seattle’s offensive line, and Macdonald’s comments tie his availability directly to this week’s practice progression.
  • With multiple Seattle defenders and offensive players limited or out, the Seahawks could face rotation pressure, especially at linebacker and along the interior line.
  • Kansas City’s injury report includes a tackle on the concussion list and a receiver out with a multi-area lower-body issue, both of which can influence matchup planning.
